Judith Kinnard FAIA is an architect with a dual commitment to practice and teaching. Her work has included numerous small-scale built commissions and more than a dozen national competitions dealing with larger scale issues of urban design, housing, and landscape. This work has received numerous citations and awards. She received her professional degree from Cornell University and has taught at Princeton University and Syracuse University. She was an Associate Professor at the University of Virginia from 1987- 2008 where she served as Chair of the Department of Architecture from 1998-2003. She has been the Gensler Visiting Critic at Cornell University and currently holds the Harvey-Wadsworth Chair at Tulane University. In 2004 she was awarded Fellowship in the American Institute of Architects for leadership in architectural education and in 2010 she was elected president of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture. |
